IFF Lunch Meeting im neuen Jahr
Wir freuen uns auf einen weiteren Special Guest aus unserer Mitte. Dr. Angela Schafferhans wird über verschiedene Berufsperspektiven für (Bio-) Informatikerinnen an der Hochschule und in der Industrie referieren. Dieser Vortrag wird sicher interessant, auch für Studentinnen und Wissenschaftlerinnen aus anderen Bereichen.

Zwei der Empfängerinnen der Anita-Borg-Memorial-Scholarship Auszeichnung 2011, Emitzá Guzmán und Negin Zarnegar, werden unsere Gäste sein. Sie werden von sowohl ihren Studien und Forschung im Bereich der Informatik, als auch von ihren Erfahrung als Preisträgerinnen berichten. Außerdem geben sie uns einen Einblick in das Bewerbungsverfahren, da die Bewerbungsfrist für 2012 am 1. Februar 2012 enden wird.

IFF Lunch Meeting meets Google
Informatik-Forum Frauen IFF and Google are very excited to announce a joint event exclusively hosted for female students of Informatics (Bachelor, Master, Diplom, PhD) at TUM.
It is taking place on 10 November 2011 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Multimediaraum 00.013.009A in the MA/IN Building, Forschungscampus Garching.
We have prepared an interesting and exciting agenda including
- Tech Talk delivered by a female Software Engineer from Google Munich (detailed information see below)
- Job Talk and Quiz: Find out about jobs and your opportunities at Google and win some giveaways!
- Grill a Googler!: We'll have an informal Get-Together with some snacks and drinks. Female Google engineers will be there to answer any questions you may have!
Title of the Tech Talk: Lessons from the History of Chrome
Abstract: As Chrome passes the third anniversary of its public release, first we'll take a look back at its ancient history, including some of the earliest designs and mockups. From those early beginnings, Chrome has grown to be actively used by over 200 million people, and has been in constant development. Along the way, we learned a series of lessons that have helped inform our design and development philosophy. We'll review those lessons, giving examples of things that worked well for us, as well as things that failed.
Speaker Info: Pam Greene (Software Engineer, Google Munich) has been working on Chrome since before it existed, and is currently on assignment in Munich to help the Munich Chrome team.

4. Vorbereitung zur Wahl der nächsten TUM-IN Frauenbeauftragten
