With the Bachelor-Master Course of Study in Education "Naturwissentschaftliche Bildung", for teacher education at Gymnasium, we offer you a competitive, international degree with the prospect of providing you with diverse domestic and foreign job opportunities. Shortly before receiving your Master's degree, you may take the state exams and thereby qualify for a teaching profession at Bavarian Gymnasiums.

Concept of Major and Minor Subjects

During the Bachelor phase you will immerse yourself in one of the two subjects (master subject) commensurate with your aptitudes. You will work out your Bachelor thesis in this subject. This way you will acquire deep insight into the scientific methods of this subject and with little additional effort you will simultaneously open up the possibility of obtaining the respective Bachelor degree (i.e.   Bachelor of Science in Informatics). Additionally, you will gain access to alternative Master courses of study (i.e. Special Branches of Science, Communications Science etc.). In your minor subject, basics will be taught that you may intensify in your Master course of study which will equip you to obtain a teaching post at a Gymnasium. 

Educational Science Skills

Our specific TUMpaedagogicum practical training provides you with the opportunity to gain personal experience in the practical work environment in schools. In addition to that, lectures in psychology and in educational science ensure that you are taught the necessary soft-skills.
