Create your own computer game!

Date:   Monday, August 22 – 24, From 9 :30 am –  3:30 pm

Location & Meeting Point: TU München, Department of Mathematics and Informatics Building, Boltzmannstr. 3- lobby at the gatekeeper's house.

Number of participants: 12,  Age Group: 10 -14 years old

Description: Computer games are fun! Developing the games yourself is even more fun!!

In this project we want to individually program a funny dexterity game such as the renowned game Crazy Chicken Hunting (Moorhuhnjagd). We will design a playing surface and pawns and determine the rules of the game and the course of the game. Then we will become acquainted with the programming environment "Scratch" with which we will implement our ideas. "Scratch" also offers you many other possibilities to be creative at home by yourself.

No programming skills whatsoever are required, but rather having fun playing and handling the mouse and the keyboard at the computer."

Create your own world with Alice

Date: Sept. 5 - 7, 2011; 9:30 am -3:30 pm

Location & Meeting Point: TU München, Department of Mathematics and Informatics Building, Boltzmannstr. 3- lobby at the gatekeeper's house.

Description: In this project we want to create a small 3D animation. For this we will first need a nice, exciting story that we will conceive together. The "Alice" programming environment will then help us to create a 3D animation film with this story. You do not require any previous programming skills for this project, but rather the enjoyment in story-telling and the ability to have fun while working in a team.
