Obligation for Enrollment when writing the Final Thesis

Since winter term 2006/07, it is mandatory for every student to be enrolled in the according degree course while working on her/his diploma, bachelor, or master thesis, ie. from the official start up to the submission of the work.

Before adoption of (long term) study fees, this was not required. However, according to the legal opinion of the student service center, this leads to unequal treatments and needed to be changed.

Therefore, the examination board is required to implement the new regulation without exceptions starting from winter term 2006/07. They have to check the enrollment status of the student at the start of the work on her/his diploma, bachelor, and master thesis, as well as at submission time.
