The following rules apply to students who started in the winter term 2007/08 or later:

Courses worth 52 credits have to be taken from the  list of elective courses.

2. Graduate lab course

Guided research (both 10 credits)

taken at a foreign university

1 One of these areas has to be „Formal Methods and Applications“ (FMA) or „Algorithms and Scientific Computing“ (AWR). Excess ECTS in these three areas are automatically counted to the "free choice" in Informatics.

 

There are four orientations:

  • Research: You take the  Guided Research Module.
  • Practice: You take a second  Graduate lab course.
  • International: You can bring in graduate courses taken at a foreign university that are not included in the list of Informatics graduate courses.
  • Foundation: You take lectures from all areas.
