Pre-Study Program for Master students in April 2012
- Introduction Day by the department together with the Student Union
The tutors of the Student Union ( Fachschaft MPI - for all students of the Departments of Informatics, Mathematics and Physics) will accompany you through an introduction day on Thursday, April 12th 2012, starting at 9.45 a.m. in lecture hall HS2. There will first be some general introductory information, then a detailed presentation of the examination rules. Then there will be a common lunch in the mensa together with all the other new students in the Department, you will then get a Campus Tour and will be able to make contacts during a barbecue.

- Café with the student advisor for Master's students
Over coffee and cake our student advisor Vivija Simic will respond individually to all questions concerning your study program and gives you useful hints for a successful start. We will meet on Tuesday, April 3rd, 1.30 p.m. in room MI 02.09.014.

- Workshop: Intercultural competence and communication skills
Intercultural competence and professional intercultural communication skills are important key competencies in international academic programs. This three-day-workshop will help you to improve your intercultural competencies and successfully handle your studies in an intercultural environment. The workshop is designed to be interactive allowing participants to practice their newly acquired knowledge and skills. In exercises and role playing they will learn how their own cultural imprint guides their perception and behavior and why other people may react differently than expected. International and German students of M.Sc. Informatics, students of other study programs can participate if places are available. More Information
