Beratungsstelle Frauennotruf

Sexual harassment and sexism are serious issues and TUM is committed to act!

Do you feel treated unfairly, harassed or threatened? Are you looking for ways to effectively respond to unwanted advances and sexist remarks?

The Beratungsstelle Frauennotruf has been the primary agency in the city of Munich to deal with complaints. In a new cooperation with the TUM Gender & Diversity office they now offer free and confidential consultations directly on the TUM main campus. Consulting languages are German and English. Translation for other languages is provided on request.

In addition, the Gender Equality Officers of the Department of Informatics are available in person or under frauenbeauftragte@in.tum.de. Again, confidentiality is guaranteed.

agency Girls in Science and Technology
An institution organised by the Women's Representative of the Technische Universität München.
The agency girls in science and technology has the task to create an inspiring environment at universities, research facilities as well as schools and establishments for children, adolescence and girl work for technical and natural science interested and talented female pupils of all ages. The agency offers manifolded projects that enable girls and young women to make lively, inspiring and motivating experience in contact with natural science - technical circumstances.

Informatica Feminale
The Informatica Feminale offers anually compact teachings in computer science for female students of all kinds of universities and for the continuing education of interested women. Access to studies, stay in studies, passing to the job and lifelong learning on an universitary level are in the focus at the same time. The female lecturers and participants are coming from the inland as well as from abroad. The summer studies at the university of Bremen are a place for experimententation and for finding new concepts for the studies of computer science.

Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard-Foundation 

The Foundation for the promotion of science and research, initiated in 2004, supports talented young women with children. It aims to enable them to create the freedom and mobility required to further their scientific careers. The Foundation wishes to help prevent science from loosing excellent talent. It is aimed specifically at graduate students in the fields of experimental natural sciences and medicine.
