Teacher-Training Degree Programs

Informatics is a required subject at Bavarian advanced secondary schools (Gymnasien) and an increasingly popular subject in vocational schools (Berufsschulen). To meet the growing need for qualified teachers in this field, TUM Informatics, in cooperation with the TUM School of Education, offers two teacher-training degree programs. The bachelor’s programs (degree: Bachelor of Education) are taught entirely in German and last 6 semesters. Master’s programs last an additional 4 semesters. Our specific TUMpaedagogicum practical training provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in real-world school environments. The subsequent master’s programs (degree: Master of Education) last 4 semesters
