TUM has again improved its ranking in "THE World University Rankings by Subject: Computer Science" and is now among the 10 best universities worldwide in computer science.
The ranking of the British magazine "Times Higher Education" (THE) asks scientists worldwide about the reputation of universities in research and teaching. It also evaluates data such as the number of publications per researcher, citations per publication, the ratio of teaching staff to students, third-party funds raised from industry and the degree of internationalization. The indicators are weighted differently depending on the subject culture.
In Computer Science, TUM has reached the top 10 - for the second time after 2016 - and in Europe it is the fourth best university after Oxford and Cambridge Universities and ETH Zurich.
