Welcome to TUM Informatics!
Our department has a long history of attracting degree-seeking students from around the world. Over the years, thousands of international students have chosen to earn a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree here. Many young scientists and researchers also choose to earn their PhD under the supervision of our professors.
About 30% of the 4,700 students at our Department are from countries outside Germany. About 700 students have chosen one of our five Master's programs taught in English. After graduation, many decide to stay in Munich or Germany for some time, working in IT industry or preparing their PhD.
International degree students at TUM Informatics have access to a wide range of support services and on-campus activities. From language courses to career services, and from entrepreneurship training to student mentor support, we offer everything you need to ensure a successful course of study.
