We like to party – and this is why we do it again this year. After celebrating „50 Years Informatics in Munich“ (2017) and „150 Years TUM“ (2018) we join together with Darmstadt, Karlsruhe and Saarbrücken the celebrations at the Technical University of Dresden: „50 Years of Computer Science Education in Dresden“. Those five universities established the first university study courses in IT during the 1960s.
This year our summer party already starts in the morning with a free breakfast and the live transmission of the Germany-wide festive day on occasion of the jubilee from Dresden. After the traditional Foosball Tournament organized by the Fachschaft MPI in the afternoon the Department of Informatics will grant the awards for excellence in teaching, the awards by CeDoSIA and by the Fachschaft MPI. Subsequently, as every year, we offer music, free food and drinks: doner kebab, burgers, BBQ, salads, soft drinks and beer.
