The Master’s in Bioinformatics is taught over four semesters, beginning in either the summer or winter semester.
In semesters 1-3, you will complete a comprehensive practical course in bioinformatics and complete elective modules chosen from the key areas of bioinformatics, informatics, mathematics/statistics, and molecular biology/biochemistry. Modules are offered in the following subjects:
- Algorithms in bioinformatics
- Sequence analysis
- Systems biology
- Structural bioinformatics
- Chemical informatics
- Genome analysis
- Databases and data mining
- Project management
- Software engineering
- Statistics
- Structural biology
- Genetics/genomics
- Evolutionary biology
- Biochemistry
